Garrison Area Improvement Association

The mission of the Garrison Area Improvement Association is to create an environment that will aid the retention and expansion of existing businesses within the community and encourage the development and success of all area business. GAIA is a non-profit economic development corporation dedicated to the progressive growth of Garrison and the surrounding area while maintaining an excellent quality of life.

Sakakawea Area Optimist Club

The Optimist Club is devoted to bringing out the best in our youth, our communities, and ourselves. The Sakakawea Area Optimist Club hosts the Halloween Party, GHS Post Prom Party, fundraisers, and more. Meetings are the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the Garrison Golf Course (5:30pm Sept-May, 6:30pm June-August)

SACA

The Sakakawea Area Council for the Arts is a group that manages the SACA Kota Theater and SACA Lodge. They also are devoted to bringing arts into the community through community theaters, entertainment, and classes.

ND Governor's Cup Walleye Derby Committee

The ND Governor's Cup Walleye Derby committee meets to plan & organize the annual fishing derby.

Garrison Chamber of Commerce

The Garrison Chamber of Commerce provides community leadership and networking between business leaders in the community.  They sponsor the First Dollar of Business promotion, shop local campaign, local welcome wagon packet, are the power behind projects like the City Park bandstand, and organize events held throughout the year.  Along with their semi-monthly meetings, they also offer opportunity to join a sub-committee that each have a different focus and meet monthly.

Dickens Village Festival Committee

Call 463-2345 for meeting dates. All meetings take place at 5pm at the Cubby Hole.

Garrison Convention & Visitors' Bureau

Tourism is an important "Piece" of our community.

The Garrison Convention & Visitors’ Bureau’s intent is to provide a wide variety of services to Garrison and the surrounding area in regards to promotion, guidance, and development to benefit those who own businesses, work, or live in the community. Their office is home to the ND Firefighter’s Museum, Dickens Village Festival, and former CANDISC Bicycle Tour as well as working in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development offices.

Garrison Sportsmen's Club

The Garrison Sportsmen's Club offers yearly shooting options with an indoor shooting at the Pistol Range located below City Hall and a large outdoor range located west of Garrison. Meetings are held the 3rd Thursday of the month at 7:00pm (Winter Months at Senior Center & Summer Months at Outdoor Range).

Piecemaker's Quilt Guild

Anytime is stitchin' time! Join this group the 4th weekend of the month, Friday at 10:30am for a Sew Together & Saturday at 9:00am for Meeting & Sewing. Meetings at SACA Lodge.

Sakakawea Pheasants Forever

Pheasants Forever is dedicated to the conservation of pheasants, quail and other wildlife through habitat improvements, public awareness, education and land management policies and programs.

Lake Sakakawea MOPS

Mother of Preschoolers - Here at MOPS, we gather and support moms. We believe in the simple but revolutionary idea that remarkable things happen when moms come together, face to face. That’s why we rally women to come together in their own neighborhoods and help each other through this thing called motherhood, one gathering at a time.

Heritage Park Foundation

Oversees the Heritage Park & Museum in Garrison.

Garrison Girl Scouts

Meetings are the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of the month at Bob Callies Elementary School in the Library from 6:30-7:30pm.

Garrison Dollars for Scholars

Non-profit organization dedicated to providing scholarship assistance to Garrison High School graduates.

American Legion & Auxillary

Meets 3rd Monday of each month at the Legion Building in the City Park.

Sakakawea Fence Stretchers

The Sakakawea Fence Stretchers maintains the Snowmobile Trail around our area.
